I remember FM radio as a commercial free bastion of GREAT and very diverse music spread out all over the many frequencies. Not today. When something new comes into my musical life it is usually discovered on the internet or the rare radio program like Jonathan Schwartz on Sirius and Jazz FM broadcast out of Toronto. My mission on this blog is to post music I love that you may not hear elsewhere.Someone - I don't know who - recently stated "Music is what emotions sound like" Exactly!
Wasn't some of that music on Buffalo's FM stations, at the time, referred to as "underground"?
ReplyDeletesounds familiar, Ken - anything was underground that wasn't top 40 or country back then - my uncle was an FM nut - he would tape symphonies & concertos off the FM stations - no commercials
