COUNTERGIRLS

The two songs heard in this video gallery of scenes from "COUNTERGIRLS" are used in the play. They are so evocative of the humor and spirit of the gutsy characters brought to delightful life by the wonderful cast. Of course, Michael Russell's warm and funny script which references these songs among others i.e. "Looking Out The Window Through My Pain" - couldn't have been better inspiration for the cast and me, the director.

  5. Sorry to have missed it. I am sick again with the infection I had before I went to Europe. Saturday was the worst. On the road to health again. I'm pleased that you filled the place. Iknew you would. These need to be taped so those who miss can watch.

  11. Tony,
What a lovely memento of the show! You did a great job of putting this together. It's wonderful to be able to put names and faces with the characters and get a greater sense of the reading. Thanks for putting this together for all of us! Didn't realize that you all were SRO; such a great feeling for me and, I'm sure, for you and the cast and crew! Again, thanks to you all. It's great to see the passion and dedication to theatre that you all have. I'm so happy--and PROUD of each and every one of you!
    With great affection,
    Michael

  14. first of all, I am so very sorry that it has taken me sooooooooooo long to tell you how truly enjoyable the "countergirls" was. the cast was EXCELLENT!!!! secondly, OMG, I used to frequent the counter at woolworths downtown during lunch-time. the food was pure yum!!! and then, when my girls came along, stroller & all, on the bus, downtown to woolworths. such a fun store. southgate was good too, but the atmosphere downtown was better. Honest.
so I thank you for a wonderful evening filled with laughter.
p.s. my hatters (4 of us) gave the play EIGHT THUMBS UP!!!! indeed!!!!
